The next Summit is right around the corner!
Details coming soon!

The Washington State Mental Health Summit is a collaborative forum where stakeholders across the state come together to explore, develop, and advance innovative solutions for improving mental health and addiction services. Open to all interested in enhancing mental health care in Washington State and beyond, the Summit fosters connections and catalyzes new ideas for education, prevention, and care.

The most recent Summit took place on November 2, 2023, at the University of Washington’s HUB Grand Ballroom. Co-hosted by Chad’s Legacy Project, the Behavioral Health Institute at Harborview Medical Center, and the UW Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Sciences, this hybrid event welcomed over 600 stakeholders nationwide to participate in person and virtually.

The Summit operates on a unique 18-month cycle, allowing a full year for initiatives to develop and report back, followed by a six-month Request for Proposals and preparation phase leading up to the next event. To stay informed and receive updates on Summit initiatives, join the WA State Mental Health Summit mailing list.

Because the Summit prioritizes collaborative discovery and action over formal education, Continuing Education credits (CME) are not available. Instead, attendees are encouraged to actively engage with the initiatives presented, with the option to join projects that resonate with them.

While the Washington State Mental Health Summit does not endorse specific products or treatments, it provides a powerful platform for statewide stakeholders to advance impactful initiatives. Proposals are reviewed by the Summit Advisory Council, based on criteria across four key areas: statewide impact, Summit value-add, equity and inclusion, and technology/process innovation. Thanks to the generous support of our underwriters, the Summit is free for attendees.
