The BHI Training, Workforce and Policy Innovation Center is committed to increase equitable access to quality training for all providers in Washington. Current training projects include:
- Develop and disseminate evidence-based and or promising programs and one curricula to improve the delivery and overall quality of care for individuals receiving inpatient and/or outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Provide continued access to TeleBehavioral Health training. Expand into learning collaboratives and offer a heavier focus on the use of digital health solutions.
- Call to Action Series: Providing ongoing training and learning collaboratives to providers/entities who are interested in making changes within their organizations related to race, equity and social justice.
- Law Enforcement and Department of Corrections Training Development: Assist with content in the development of training for law enforcement officers including barriers to treatment, etiology of substance use disorders including the role of trauma, principles of recovery, conflict resolution with individuals with SUD.
